Patient Care Assistant (PCA) – daytime

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Patient Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in our expanding independent veterinary referral centre.

Our PCAs are at the heart of everything we do. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about animals who thrives in a busy environment. As a PCA, you will play a vital role supporting our veterinary nurses and surgeons to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities:
– Providing excellent care to our inpatients
– Assisting with handling and restraint
– Feeding and exercising inpatients
– Administering medication
– Cleaning and disinfecting clinical areas
– Running bloods in our well-equipped lab
– Setting up and cleaning down theatre
– Maintaining stock levels

What we’re looking for:

– Someone who is caring, reliable, and proactive
– Experience preferred but not essential
– A strong team player with good communication skills
– A willingness to “muck in”

The practical bits:
– Full-time role
– Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM
– 1:4 weekends
