Helen Silver- MacMahon
Helen brings extensive experience in veterinary education, leadership, and human factors, with a particular focus on improving communication, wellbeing, and patient safety within clinical teams.
She began her career as a Registered Veterinary Nurse and has since held a range of leadership and development roles, including Research and Development Director at VetLed, Quality Improvement Clinical Lead at RCVS Knowledge, and RVN Development Manager at Vets for Pets. Alongside her professional work, Helen is Co-Founder of Being Human Consulting, supporting individuals and organisations to build healthier, more effective workplace cultures.
Helen holds an MSc in Patient Safety and Clinical Human Factors from the University of Edinburgh and is currently completing a PhD at the University of Lincoln in Applied Psychology and Human Factors.
In her role as Hospital Operations and Culture Lead, Helen oversees initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, staff coordination, and organisational culture, helping to ensure the hospital continues to deliver exceptional clinical care within a supportive, compassionate environment.
