Oncology is moving fast, are you?

Ed Bellamy, European and RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Oncology, walks through the advances that are changing what is possible for cancer patients, and what they mean for the cases you see week to week.

Topics on the night will include:

  • Half-body radiotherapy for canine B-cell lymphoma, and when it is worth considering
  • Tyrosine kinase inhibitors beyond Palladia® and Masivet®, including emerging applications of imatinib and lapatinib
  • Electrochemotherapy, and which tumour types are benefiting most
  • Colorimetric lymph node mapping, and what it changes for staging and surgical planning

Ed will be covering more ground than this on the night. There will be case-based examples throughout and plenty of opportunity for questions, so bring along any oncology cases that are on your mind.

About the speaker

Ed Bellamy joined Granta earlier this year as European and RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Oncology.

Ed graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2016 and completed his specialist training in private practice in 2023. His clinical interests are sentinel lymph node mapping and electrochemotherapy, both of which he is introducing and developing here at Granta, and both of which he will be talking about on the night.

Alongside his clinical work Ed is an active researcher with peer reviewed publications and national presentations to his name. He sits on the ECVIM-CA (Oncology) Credentials Committee and is currently writing a chapter for a forthcoming veterinary oncology textbook.

  • Doors open at 6.45pm with food and drinks. Ed will speak from 7.15pm.
  • Photon House, Station Road, Linton, Cambridgeshire, CB21 4NW
  • Park in our car park or on Station Road, which is quiet by that time of the evening.
  • If you have not been to the centre before, we are happy to show you round. There is a box to tick on the sign-up form so we know who would like a tour.
