About Us

Granta Veterinary Specialists is a dedicated referral hospital providing outstanding care to patients, clients and referring vets. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging and specialist services in a supportive, collaborative environment. We have an in-house Philips Incisive 64-slice CT and are currently installing a Philips MR5300 (BlueSeal) 1.5T MRI scanner. We also have on-site digital radiography, fluoroscopy, and specialist ultrasonography and echocardiography.

The Role

We are seeking a Veterinary Radiographer to join our growing team. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no on-call commitments; however, part-time work will also be considered. You will be primarily responsible for acquiring high-quality MRI and CT scans, with radiography also forming part of the caseload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI scans (essential to the role) and CT studies

  • Acquire radiographs when required

  • Work closely with our specialist veterinary team to ensure accurate and efficient diagnostic imaging

  • Maintain equipment and follow safety protocols to the highest standards

  • Support the hospital’s ethos of patient welfare, teamwork and excellent client service

About You

We welcome applications from either:

  • Qualified human radiographers with relevant veterinary imaging experience, or

  • Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) with training and experience in advanced imaging

Essential

  • Proven experience in MRI acquisition

Preferred

  • CT imaging experience

  • Experience of developing protocols on newly installed MRI machines

  • Previous exposure to radiography in a veterinary or clinical setting

You will be detail-oriented, a good communicator, and able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
