Full-Time Registered Veterinary Nurse, Ward-Based (Neurology Focus)
Location: Granta Veterinary Specialists, Photon House, Station Road, Linton, Cambs.
Hours: Full-time, between the hours of 7:30am and 6:30pm
Weekends: 1 in 5 weeks
On-call: 1 in 8 weeknights (theatre-based)
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience

The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our ward-based team.
This role will have a particular focus on neurology patients, including those with spinal or brain injuries,
seizures, and complex post-operative care needs, but you will also be involved in caring for patients across all
of our disciplines, including surgery, medicine, oncology, dermatology, and anaesthesia.
You will work closely with our clinicians and fellow nurses to ensure each patient receives the highest standard
of nursing care, with autonomy, attention to detail, and empathy at the heart of what you do.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership for each patient’s wellbeing. Provide high-quality inpatient care, including blood
sampling, IV catheter placement, wound management, diagnostics and record keeping whilst
maintaining excellent hygiene and organisation in the ward area. - Deliver skilled nursing care for neurology patients, including those with spinal, brain, or neurological
conditions. - Contribute positively to our collaborative team culture, supporting colleagues and fostering a calm,
respectful working environment. - Participate in out-of-hours on-call and weekend cover on a shared rota to ensure continuity of patient
care.
About You:
- Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN); referral experience is desirable but not essential.
- Confident in ward-based nursing and inpatient management.
- Calm, organised, and compassionate, even when things get busy.
- Strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Passionate about learning and delivering the best possible patient care.
